First Time Papa

Getting Prep for a new Generation

Merry (belated) Christmas everyOne!

December26

This is kinda belated.. sorry :P

We’ve returned to Kuching from our short stint in SG on the 14th. And only to discover that my trusted desktop at home decided to take a Holiday break (n still IS..) and refused to boot. *Shucks* 1st the HP, next my PC~ :’( I hope the list ends here >.<

It has been a hectic time leading to Christmas with all the gifts hunting and preparation and with a week of workload to catch up to. But I’m glad it all works our well at the end.. ^.^

The Christmas dinner and cozy gathering at home was as heartwarming and great as usual :D Although we missed having big Bro and SIL #1 + baby Cedric around.  But now that the holiday season is drawing to a close.. I shall put in more time and continue blogging and posting more sharings.

Hehe.. how about that for my New Year ‘09 resolution. Hahah! We’ve plenty to share about of recent trip to SG. The hypno birthing class in particular was an eye opener and was extreme educational.

David & Jeslyn,

Wishing you and your little Family a very blessed Merry Chistmas! We still owe u a post on Kuching healthcare & gynae option! :P VERY Paiseh*  Will get that in soon..*Keeping Fingers crossed*

BTW, I’m in Week 27! And junior is really getting ACTIVE and wriggling & kicking around happily. O.o”

Week 7 - Surreal Realisation =)

August11
Nothing special this week..except that I’m getting the frontal bulge on my tummy. Not because of the pregnancy, but from the endless eating and snacking in between. >.< *SOB*

Sigh.. and I’m getting Pimples! Really angry, red and big painful ones to boot! Both on my face and shoulders. Double *SoB!*

But on a lighter note, I’ll share the highlight of Week 7. This is what ParentingWeekly.com is saying about Jr.

The size of a small bean
Your baby is tiny but growing fast! He or she is the size of a small bean - about half an inch long - this week and has an oversized head in proportion to its body. His or her facial features are still forming, its eyes are just black spots, there are little openings where the nostrils will be, and pits to mark the ears. Protruding buds that will become arms and legs are more noticeable now, and the hands and feet look like tiny paddles. You can’t hear it yet, but its little heart is beating about 150 beats per minute (roughly twice the rate of yours.)

Last Monday (4th Aug), I was miserably sick so Jee was worried n sent me to the KPJ (Lch Specialist Ctr@ Stutong) for a checkup. The gynae we used was highly recommended by our beloved family GP (frm Clinic Khaira) - Dr Philip Kho. We was a OK chap, albeit kinda ‘kang cheong’ in his speech and mannerism hehe.. gave us lots of advice and I walked away with a heaps of reading material, brochures, books and even 2 box of EnfaMama milk formula >.<” But the main souvenier was an Ultrasound of our Little One. I’ve leave the honour of sharing the 1st picture of our little one to the proud very Dad-to-Be. *^_^*

Its size of a bean..but from where I lay, it looks like a grain of Rice. Heheh..so tiny lor! And yet..the heart is beating..in a fluttering speed! That moment, its so surreal and I even told the Doc that :P

If I’m still in denial at that stage, the sound of the little heart beating fast and strong has affirmed and drove home the reality, “YES! We’re gonna b parents!” ^__^
BTW, the scan reviews that the embryo is 6 weeks 5 days old. =)

Now thats simply …. WOW!
